I posted a Make Nine in January and have got a surprising way through it.

1. Angel Wing Jeans - I made these but they don’t go all the way up and I’m on strike about fitting clothing, especially bottoms, to my current size when it requires tracing off. I weaned of Prednisolone this year and haven’t lost all the weight I gained while on. I was working my way into them but then my ability to be active plummeted and ...

2. Smart Coat - this is similarly on the back burner. I’ve lost enough weight that the coat pattern I had been planning on making, and the coat I tested the pattern with, no longer fits and tracing and altering a new pattern wasn’t at the top of my list.

3. Shirts - while I’ve not been good about blogging this I have made significant progress with this. The first pattern I tried on the second attempt made a wearable pyjama shirt but the third attempt proved I wasn’t going to get a wearable outside shirt from it. My second pattern, the Sedona shirt by designer stitch was still unwearable on the fourth attempt. I switched successfully to two Ottobre kids patterns which I need to write up.

4. Jacket - The pattern I had been thinking about using was an adult Burma pattern and I struggle to get adult patterns narrow enough to first my back and shoulders so I had resigned myself to having to draft a jacket which didn’t appeal. I have since found a pattern that might work for a proper smart jacket but I haven’t got around to tracing it. In the interim I have made a more casual 3 season jacket from another pattern.

5.  Matching skirt - As I haven’t cut in to the wool jacket fabric yet I haven’t looked at making a matching skirt.

6. Skirt to match the shirt - During a fabric swap and wardrobe sort out it became clear that the fabric intended to make a faux dress wouldn’t fit in my wardrobe so this plan has been shelved.

7. Smart Trousers - Again I’ve been changing shape while coming off of steroids and have not wanted to make any smart trousers.

8 and 9. Smart Jumper 1 & 2 -  While not smart, I have meet my needs for new jumpers. I used two different patterns from Ottobre, Gray Uniform and Sporting Goodies. I prefer the classic hoody look of the Gray Uniform hoody but the Sporting Goodies is a better bodice shape on me.
